TERRA COUNSELING & CONSULTING WELCOMES NUTRITIONIST
ALEXA BEDINGFIELD, MS, LGPC
Baltimore, Maryland: Alexa Bedingfield, MS, joined the team at Terra Counseling & Consulting, Inc (Terra) as a Nutritionist. She received her Master of Science degree in Clinical Nutrition from the Maryland University of Integrative Health and is also the co-founder of Lift Yoga + Strength, a yoga and fitness studio in Mt. Vernon, Baltimore.
“Alexa is the perfect addition to our team,” said Amy Price, Clinical Director for Terra, “Her education and real-world experience with nutrition will bring a whole new skill-set to our work here. We want our clients to flourish in body, mind, and soul. Nutrition helps us get to the core of that mission.”
Bedingfield, a former AmeriCorps member, began her work as a nutrition educator serving underserved families in Baltimore, where she developed the skills to communicate how and why behind healthy eating choices. Her master’s degree program enables her to help people live healthier by optimizing their diet and lifestyle choices.
“There is a connection between mental health and nutrition,” said Bedingfield. “I believe that food is medicine and that a healthy relationship with food and one’s body are important pillars of mental health. I want to guide my clients through the process of finding what is individually right for them. When it comes to diet there is no one size fits all approach, so I create a unique program with each client.”
